Flat solar collectors The collectors produced by us are based on the German absorber ETA PLUS of company BLUETEC. This absorber is peak achievement in world solar technology.
Absorber is the „heart” of the solar collector. Collector heat gain depends on used absorption surface. In eighties the world market was dominated by aluminum or copper absorbing sheets covered with galvanized film of black chromium or nickel. Since about 1995 highly selective absorber surface have been used. Emission factor (reflection of solar rays) is lower than 5%, absorptivity degree amounts to 95%. Solar collectors produced in Poland are based mainly on black chromium absorber. According to research at University in Stuttgart covering of Sunselect or Tinox (high selective) increases solar collectors effectiveness of 10% annually, and in transition periods as well as in winter even of 16%. In the below drawing you can find percentage efficiency increase of collector with Sunselect absorber in comparison with black chromium, in separate months of the year.
That is why installation of solar collectors produced by our company allows for gaining more energy savings. Vacuum solar collectors Collector WATT CPC
Usage of vacuum glass pipes usage is distinguishing feature of WATT CPC collectors. Regardless of the fact that pipes construction is based on James Dewar’s invention of vacuum bottle of 1893, today their production uses the newest technologies.
Collectors produced by WATT are based on pipes, which consist of double-wall glass pipes with vacuum between the walls. The vacuum guarantees the best insulation in all weather conditions. Thanks to that no heat loss is observed by outer pipe wall.
Placing glass pipes over highly-reflective CPC parabolic mirror (Compound Parabolic Concentrator) is an advantage of CPC collectors which enables maximum usage of solar energy; the mirror geometry ensures absorption of solar rays placed at disadvantageous angle, as well as guarantees usage of the whole absorber surface for gaining solar radiaton.
